Venturi Injectors & Venturi Pipe Sets

What Is a Venturi Injector?

A simple, reliable, electricity-free fertigation tool

A Venturi Injector uses the natural flow of water through a narrow throat inside the device to create suction. This pressure difference allows liquid fertiliser or treatment solutions to be drawn from a bucket or tank directly into your irrigation line without pumps or electricity. It’s one of the most economic, low-maintenance fertigation tools available for small and medium agricultural operations.

Why Use a Venturi?

Accurate nutrient delivery with minimal equipment

Venturi Injectors integrate easily into existing pipeline systems and are compatible with dripline, micro irrigation, and smaller sprinkler setups. They provide a steady flow of diluted nutrient solution that distributes evenly throughout the irrigation system, ensuring uniform feeding and improved plant performance.

Key Features

  • No electricity required — operates purely on water pressure.
  • Cost-effective fertigation solution.
  • Easy to install in almost any irrigation system.
  • Durable, robust materials suited to South African conditions.
  • Suitable for greenhouses, tunnels, vegetable crops, nurseries, and more.
  • Available in sizes ranging from 20 mm to 90 mm.

How Does a Venturi Work?

A pressure drop creates suction

The process is simple:

  1. Water enters the Venturi and flows through a narrowed section.
  2. The pressure drops, creating suction.
  3. Liquid fertiliser is drawn into the system through the suction port.
  4. The mixed solution travels through the irrigation line.
  5. Once the fertiliser tank is empty, normal irrigation continues.

Where Venturi Injectors Work Best

Ideal for precision feeding and small-scale applications

Common uses include:

  • Vegetable production
  • Greenhouses & tunnels
  • Seedling nurseries
  • Hydroponic-style nutrient delivery
  • Small farms & hobby growers
Venturi Pipe Sets

What Are Venturi Pipes?

Pre-built bypass assemblies for easy priming and use

Venturi Pipe Sets are pre-assembled bypass loops that make installation fast and fool-proof. These pipes include the required valves and fittings so that the Venturi can be primed correctly, ensuring proper suction and smooth operation. They are ideal for anyone who wants a plug-and-play fertigation setup without building a bypass system from scratch.

What Venturi Pipes Allow You To Do

With the bypass assembly, you can easily:

  • Bypass the mainline when fertigation is required.
  • Prime the Venturi by filling the pipe loop with water.
  • Start suction by opening the Venturi valve.
  • Return to normal irrigation when fertiliser is depleted.
